Purpose of the position: to focus on managing the local, cross-border and Africa marketing strategy and plan of the Company's fruit basket.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compiling and execution of the procurement & marketing plan and strategies into the mentioned regions, in support of the company's global marketing plans
• Building and maintaining sound relationships with key customers across all the relevant markets and countries
• Matching supply and demand across all commodities which include trading and programming
• Volume and price negotiating to ensure optimum results and service delivery to all customers and markets
• Effective communication and management of relationships with producers, suppliers, customers, team members and colleagues.
Selection Criteria:
• Self-starting characteristics
• Marketing/sales experience and proven success with S.A. Retailers, cross-border and Africa receivers regarding FMCG/perishable products (references will be required)
• Good negotiation skills
• Financial/Commercial knowledge
• Analytical with above average communication abilities
• An appropriate tertiary qualification, together with sound computer literacy, will strengthen the CV.
