Tasting Room Manager | Landskroon & Survivor Tasting Room | Paarl

Van Loveren Vineyards is seeking a Tasting Room Manager at our prestigious Landskroon & Survivor Tasting Room situated on the Suid-Agter Paarl Road who has a positive attitude, is well organised, passionate about wine and the professionality to work in our Tasting Room and create exceptional experiences for our visitors.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Presentation and execution of wine tastings and pairings to clients;
• Driving the wine sales in the Tasting Room;
• Effective stock management;
• Responsible for the administration;
• Responsible for the cash-up procedures and management thereof;
• Marketing and promotions – communication and implementation thereof;
• Personnel management;
• Arranging and management of Tasting room events and on the premises;
• Responsible for local advertising, including but not limited to tourism offices, businesses and guesthouses;
• Responsible for the reservations and check-in of the onsite cottage and guest relations;
• General maintenance of the Tasting room;
• Responsible for customer relations

 Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:

• Grade 12;
• Qualification in Sales & Marketing or Hospitality will be advantageous;
• Wine knowledge will be advantageous (e.g. WSET certification or similar);
• Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English;
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within the wine, hospitality, or tourism industries;
• Experience in sales and wine industry will be advantageous;
• Experience with events management and hospitality operations;
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere;
• Strong leadership and communication skills;
• Willing to work after hours, public holidays and weekends;
• Well-presented; reliable, honest and dependable;
• Effective and dedicated team player;
• Professional, client orientated and ambitious;
• Work under pressure, good problem solving skills and able to multi-task;
