My Client is recruiting a commercially driven Marketer to lead key market programmes across local retail and international regions. This role is central to connecting grower supply with global demand, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring accurate commercial flow from sales to producer payments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage annual marketing plans and programmes
• Build and maintain relationships with buyers across local retail, the Middle East, SE Asia, China, Japan, and Africa
• Track market trends, pricing, competitor activity, regulatory shifts
• Set annual volume and pricing budgets aligned to market realities and grower expectations
• Manage account sales information, prices, volumes, deductions
• Support accurate producer payments and resolve queries
• Analyse programme performance across markets, varieties, and customers
• Coordinate marketing programmes with logistics, quality, and technical teams
• Report regularly on returns, market performance, risks, and opportunities
• Assist in developing new markets and customer channels
Required Competencies
• Strong understanding of citrus/fresh-produce export markets
• Commercial insight with the ability to interpret market trends
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for sales and return analysis
• Clear communicator who can translate commercial info simply
• Strong planning ability and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/marketing systems (Prophet QX advantageous)
Experience Needed
• 5–7 years in citrus or fresh-produce export (marketing/commercial roles)
• Experience managing international buyers or local retail
• Exposure to budgets, pricing, and producer-return calculations
• Advantageous: experience with markets in the Middle East, SE Asia, China, Japan, Africa
Education
• Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture (Honours advantageous)
• Additional training in export marketing or international trade beneficial
