Griffin Wine Merchants is a dynamic wine distribution and export business operating across local and international markets. We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team and support our growing operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders, and has a solid understanding of logistics, stock control, and regulatory compliance, ideally within the wine or FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule all dry goods and packaging requirements in line with bottling specifications and regulatory standards, for both on-site and off-site bottling.
• Liaise closely with production, sales, and finance teams to ensure accurate logistics planning, execution, and alignment with demand forecasts.
• Manage barcodes, QR codes (Digilabel), the SAWIS label system, and other relevant packaging and compliance platforms.
• Oversee stock control and quality management, including accurate monthly stock counts and variance reporting.
• Maintain regular communication with warehouses and third-party logistics providers to monitor stock levels, movements, and availability.
• Arrange and coordinate local and international deliveries, ensuring on-time dispatch, regulatory compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit monthly SAWIS and Excise reports (E-filing) accurately and on time.
• Process and reconcile supplier invoices for purchased dry goods on Cin7 Core, ensuring accuracy and cost control.
• Prepare logistics and dry-goods budgets, monitor spend, and actively manage costs to remain within approved budgets.
• Continuously review freight, transport, and dry-goods costs to optimise efficiency and improve margin performance.
• Provide regular operational reporting on production run rates, stock cover, and sales movement by SKU.
• Assist with export documentation and coordination, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and shipping requirements.
• Identify potential logistics risks or bottlenecks and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Support internal audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and supply chain processes.

Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business / Operations Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in production, operations, logistics, or supply chain coordination (wine, FMCG, or manufacturing industry experience is advantageous).
• Strong computer literacy, with advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and draw practical conclusions.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in compliance and reporting.
• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Working knowledge of Cin7 Core and Xero is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
