This position is suited to an experienced and highly organised Head Chef with a strong background in large-volume catering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, and leading the kitchen team in a fast-paced catering environment.

Property Type: Catering Company
Salary: R30,000 – R32,000 (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
• Planning and executing menus suitable for large-scale catering and events
• Leading, training, and motivating the kitchen team
• Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation across all services
• Maintaining strict health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Managing stock control, ordering, and cost management
• Overseeing food preparation for high-volume production and events

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a large-volume catering environment is essential
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Valid driver’s licence is required
• Own reliable transport is essential
• A professional, hands-on, and solution-driven approach
