Kitchen Assistant - Luxury Guest Farm - Franschhoek

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join a luxury guest farm in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain high standards of hygiene, and support the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Salary: R8,000 – R10,000 Negotiable DOE

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation
• Ensure all kitchen and storage areas meet hygiene and safety standards
• Help with plating, portioning, and presentation of meals
• Assist with stock control and inventory management
• Follow all kitchen procedures and operational guidelines
• Support other kitchen staff as required to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment preferred
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
