Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join the culinary team of a luxury restaurant situated in the heart of Stellenbosch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual with a strong culinary foundation to thrive in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience
Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section
• Ensure all food preparation meets restaurant standards and presentation expectations
• Assist with the smooth running of the kitchen during service
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
• Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to senior chefs
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety procedures diligently
• Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements when appropriate
Key Requirements
• Formal culinary training or relevant professional qualification
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fine dining or high-end kitchen
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Passionate about food, ingredients, and seasonal produce
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
