Part Time Chef / Catering Position offered

We are looking for a qualified chef with at least one or two-years’ experience for exclusive catering to small groups on a family-owned wine estate in Stellenbosch.

2 days a week only: Thursday and Friday

Salary R12 000 / month

Must have own transport.

Be able to work on your own without any assistance.

Be able to prepare and present the highest quality food along with the vintage wines we serve.

Sourcing quality ingredients and using them appropriately more important than intricate recipes.

Good wine knowledge and enthusiasm to learn more about wine. In time, be able to present our wines with a thorough knowledge and understanding. In general, the wines will most often be presented by the winemaker or assistant.

Be able to confidently host the guests and present the food in a thoughtful and engaging manner.

Manage ordering, stock and cost control.

Ensure full compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
