AdVini South Africa (ASA), part AdVini Group International, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Quality Manager to lead and safeguard quality and food safety excellence across our South African operations.
This is a senior leadership role with group ASA accountability for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of integrated Quality and Food Safety Management Systems across multiple sites.
The candidate will play a critical role in protecting product integrity, ensuring regulatory and certification compliance of products and production, and embedding a strong quality culture throughout the business - from vineyard and cellar through to bottling, warehousing, and distribution.
The Group Quality Manager will work closely with leadership, production teams, and external stakeholders to ensure that AdVini South Africa consistently delivers wines of exceptional quality
Main KPI’s of this position:
- Implement, manage and maintain the documented Quality and Food Safety Management System for ASA and manage any deviation from the documented Quality and Food Safety Management System.
- Ensure that the wine, dry goods and final goods adhere to approved specifications and regulation and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence and implementation to external certification standards and third-party requirements. (Food Safety and Quality)
- Quality control of External Fillers/ Bottling
- New Product Development for Kleine Zalze
- Manage performance of staff in the department
Qualifications and Experience needed:
- 8 – 10 years’ experience in a Quality Management position
- Experience in a cellar / food producing / Food safety Management systems
- FSSC 22000/ BRCGS
- At least 5 years’ experience in senior position and ability to lead and motivate team
- Ability to drive continuous improvement
- Working experience in the wine industry
- Excellent technical / operational knowledge of wine
