VDP Distributors Western Cape looking for an experienced On-Trade Wine Sales professional to take ownership of our wine portfolio within the Western Cape hospitality sector.
This role is sales-first and suited to someone who is commercially minded, confident in the trade, and comfortable opening doors, building accounts, and closing listings with restaurants, bars, hotels, and hospitality groups.
You will be responsible for growing on-trade wine sales, managing key accounts, marketing our portfolio, co-ordination of sales activations and being a key point of contact for our brand partners.
Key responsibilities:
• Drive wine sales into restaurants, wine bars, hotels, and hospitality groups
• Manage tastings, listings, staff training, and cliner engagement
• Confidently present and position the wine portfolio to chefs, sommeliers, and buyers
• Advise venues on wine selection, pricing, and menu fit
• Be the face of the portfolio in the on-trade market and be a key point of contact for brand partners
• Manage listings, pricing, and promotional activity
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth supply and service
• Maintain a clean, accurate sales pipeline and reporting
What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience in on-trade wine sales
• Strong hospitality network in Cape Town / Western Cape
• Organised, self-managed, and accountable
• Passion for wine paired with commercial understanding
Other requirements:
• Valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability and willingness to work after hours for trade activations and events
