The successful candidate must have a positive attitude and be passionate about the wine industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and upselling wines to local and international customers
- Hosting, preparing and presenting the wine tastings
- Arrange and execution special functions in the Tasting Room;
- Responsible for daily cash ups and reporting;
- Responsible for stock taking;
- General admin duties in the Tasting Room;
- General cleaning of Tasting room and amenities.
- Willing to work in the kitchen, preparing seasonal Platters
- Dealing with new member signups
- Operating times: Mon – Sat and public holidays
Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification;
- Formal relevant tertiary qualification related to the position will be advantageous;
- Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and in the hospitality industry;
- Ability to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays;
- Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills – with guests, management, and colleagues;
- Willing to work after hours and weekends;
- Well-presented, Reliable and dependable;
- Passionate about the hospitality industry, professional and client orientated;
- Effective and dedicated team player
- Own transport preferable
