Delheim Wines is seeking a First Contact Administrator. Candidates must be professional, articulate, and self-disciplined and at ease welcoming and talking to strangers. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for the Delheim Reception and Shop. Preferred candidate will have German as an additional or home language.
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Shop and Reception area.
- Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Answer visitors’ questions about Delheim’ s history, general tourist information, vineyards, etc.
- Responsible for international private wine sales and database of customers
- Assisting with display and stocking of retail items and wines in the Shop as well as stock thereof.
- Assisting manager with stock control by entering the daily data and sales.
- Assist with restaurant and tasting room reservations. This would also include the invoicing and reservations for tour groups, checking and following up on payments. Ensuring that booking is captured on Dineplan.
- Doing the daily Cash Up summary.
- Ability to work 3 weekends per month and must be flexible.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager including assisting with administration work.
Qualifications
- Neat and professional appearance
- Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Excellent communication skills and people management skills
- Preferred candidate will have German as an additional or home language.
- Passion for customer service and wine knowledge.
- Proficient in the POS, and/or ability to learn GAAP POS
- 21 years or older with a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Hours
- Monday to Sunday 08:30 to 17:30 as per duty roster (Allow for flexibility)
- Three weekends per month as per hospitality duty roster
- Own Transport.
