The Role

Vrede en Lust is seeking a modern Marketing Manager. This is a role for a "Hybrid Professional": someone who can drive high-volume direct sales through spreadsheets and strategy, but who is equally comfortable shooting video, editing social content, and engaging with our digital community daily.

Social Media & Content Engine (The "Hands-On" Requirement)
This is the heartbeat of our modern marketing strategy.

  • Video-First Content Creation: You are responsible for filming and editing high-quality short-form video (Reels/TikTok/Shorts) in-house. You must be proficient with mobile editing tools (CapCut, InShot, etc.) to capture the estate, the harvest, and the events authentically.
  • Trend jacking: You need to have your finger on the pulse of social trends. You know the difference between a trend that suits a luxury wine brand and one that doesn't.
  • Community Management: Social media is a two-way street. You will actively engage with comments, DMs, and tagged posts to build a loyal digital community, not just broadcast messages.
  • The "Gulf" & "Renovation" Narratives: Execute specific content campaigns to target new markets  

Commercial Growth & DTC (Direct-to-Consumer)

  • Inventory Intelligence: Align marketing campaigns with cellar stock levels. You will work with the family to understand which vintages or SKUs need to move and build campaigns to sell them.
  • The Wine Club Engine:  Strategy for retention and Member Lifetime Value (LTV) is critical.
  • E-Commerce Excellence: Drive traffic and conversion on the online store. You should understand how to use email marketing (flows and campaigns) to turn a one-time visitor into a lifelong subscriber.

The "Phygital" Customer Journey

  • Data Capture: Implement strategies to capture data from physical guests (Restaurant diners/Tasting Room visitors) and convert them into digital database leads.
  • Occupancy Drive: Work with the Hospitality Manager to execute digital campaigns that fill the accommodation and restaurant, particularly targeting the specific "Winter Gap" via international reach.

Brand Guardianship

  • Visual Identity: Ensure every piece of collateral—from a digital ad to a wedding brochure—aligns with our push towards an "Ultra-Premium" positioning.
  • Internal Collaboration: Act as the diplomat and connector between the Winemaker, the Hospitality team, and the Restaurant Partner, ensuring all business units are singing from the same hymn sheet.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • 4-6+ years in Marketing, ideally in Wine, Luxury Hospitality, or Lifestyle.
  • Portfolio Required: Candidates must be able to show examples of social content (Reels/Videos) they have personally created and the engagement it drove.

The "Hard" Skills (Non-Negotiable):

  • Mobile Content Creation: Advanced proficiency in shooting and editing video on mobile.
  • The Tech Stack: Proficiency in Shopify/WooCommerce, Email platforms (Klaviyo/Mailchimp), and Meta Business Suite.
  • Paid Media: A working knowledge of how to boost posts and run basic ad campaigns on Instagram/Facebook.

The "Soft" Skills:

  • Commercial Acumen: You understand that "Likes" are vanity, and "Sales" are sanity. You are comfortable reporting on ROI and Customer Acquisition Cost.
  • Diplomacy: Ability to work within a family-owned structure and navigate different stakeholder needs (Winery vs. Restaurant vs. Accommodation).
  • Agility: You are willing to get your hands dirty. If a harvest video needs to be shot at 6:00 AM, you are there.
  • Not a remote position. You must be willing to work on Vrede en Lust.
