Jordan Wine Estate is looking for an esteemed manager for their casual eatery and wine tasting facility, The Cellar Door. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full running of The Cellar Door, including our fully functional wine sales & tasting facility with an all-day food menu.

The ideal candidate is a solution-driven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work accurately under pressure and is self-driven. The candidate is passionate about the wine industry, loyal and relishes working in an environment crafted through relationships and family principles.

Day to day duties will include but not be limited to:

· Manage and take responsibility for the full daily function of The Cellar Door to offer all visitors a memorable and enjoyable experience.

· Stock and Admin Management: Balancing the till at the end of each day, daily cash up, stock take (ordering wine, merchandise, beverages and consumables), POS updates, pricing, beverage and menu changes.

· Customer Service: Present tastings, check on food experience and impart information to customers on Jordan wines, the Estate and general knowledge of the industry as well as tourist information. Manage guest expectations and respond to any complaints received. Organize and execute cellar tours, vineyard tours, picnics and assist with private events and conferences.

· Promotional Activities: Present or assist with tasting for clubs and activities on the Estate which might occur after hours & assist at shows where sales can be made to consumers.

· Event Execution: Run and facilitate special offerings and attractions created by HOD ( F&B Manager. i.e. Christmas, Valentine’s Day and oversee functions.

· Sales: Manage wine sales including direct and private orders, liaising with transport companies, local or overseas, to ensure orders reach the customer and meet sales targets.

· Staff Management: Organize staff shifts, uniforms and discipline to overseeing of a well-organized and functional team.

· CRM Management: Provide CRM Manager with guest feedback, preferences, and general information on customer visits.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

· A relevant tertiary qualification including formal wine qualification like WSET Level 3 or Cape Wine Academy Certificate.

· Minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience within the wine industry in a management capacity as well as hotel & restaurant experience.

· Excellent computer literacy (MS Office and POS) and communication skills.

· Attention to detail, team mentality and positive attitude.

· Must have own reliable transport.
