Swartland Winery, located in Malmesbury, currently has the above mentioned career opportunity for an energetic and assertive person who can work flawlessly under pressure.
Responsibilities :
- Full financial function of the company, including but not limited to:
- Management of the credit policy
- Debtors and creditors functions
- Production costing
- Month end close, general ledger and reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of all statutory returns
- Inventory management, stock takes and valuation
- Insurance portfolio
- Management of financial team
- Compilation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts with input from the management team
- Monthly variance analysis and reporting
- Develop and prepare weekly, monthly and annual management reports
- Preparation and presentation of board packs
- Develop and prepare appropriate profitability reports for company
- Responsible for BI reports, analysis and integration into business process
- Responsible for the finalization of annual audit and AFS
- Preparation of detailed cash flow
- Develop, implement and maintain effective controls, policies and procedures to address financial risks
- Liaison with banks, financial institutions and insurers
Qualifications:
- Appropriate financial degree, with completed clerkship
- At least 8 – 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Advanced computer knowledge (MS Office suite, as well as BI reporting)
Minimum Skills
- Experience in a production environment with costing and inventory management exposure
- Exposure to management and board presentation
- Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
- Good human relations
- Organized
- Timeliness and accuracy
