Our client is seeking a results-driven and experienced Key Account Supervisor to manage and expand their business within key national retailers in South Africa, specifically the Shoprite Checkers, Woolworths, Spar, Pick n Pay groups. This strategic role requires an individual with deep expertise in the South African FMCG retail landscape, a proven track record in dairy or similar categories, and proficiency in relevant retailer systems and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainable growth, profitability, and developing long-term, high-value relationships with key stakeholders at the national and regional levels.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Education:  Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management) is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FMCG Key Account Management at national level, with a proven track record of managing national accounts at a senior level.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the South African FMCG food /dairy market, including direct experience dealing with the buying offices and distribution systems of major retailers like Shoprite Checkers, Pick n Pay, Woolworths and others.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and experience with CRM software and customer data platforms (e.g., PowerBI, customer portals).
  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
