The focus of this role will be to assist the Depot Manager with the daily operational efficiency of the depot, contributing to the required operational, maintenance and safe working environment. The position is based near Moorreesburg in the Western Cape.

• Basic Qualification:
• Certification:
- Agricultural tertiary qualification
- Fumigation o Grading of wheat.
- Health and Safety accreditation.
Work Experience required:
• 3-5 years of experience as a silo bag assistant depot manager.
• Strong operational background, agile individual with the ability to multitask.
• Likeable / relatable person with excellent staff management skills
• Preventative maintenance and efficiency mind-set in an agricultural environment.
• Assist with ground preparation, bags layout and measurement.
• Solid administration skills.
• Good planning and problem-solving skills, a self-managed individual.
• Understand risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Wheat.
• Experience with OFD’s (On Farm Depots) will also be beneficial.
THE COMPANY
Situated in the Swartland region of the Western Cape, near Moorreesburg.
In 2010, the company met all the requirements for storage as a JSE Commodity Derivative Market (SAFEX) delivery point and was subsequently registered as such for grain, making it the first silo bag depot in South Africa listed on the JSE. The facility has a capacity of 40 000 tons and is equipped with the latest grading equipment, a weighbridge, and an electronic stock management system.
The Company's highly trained staff ensures the correct grading and management procedures.
The silo bags are 60 to 120-metre-long polyethylene bags that can each take up to 180-400 tons of grain.
