About Us
Rueda Wine Co. is one of South Africa’s leading fine wine importers and distributors. We represent an exceptional portfolio of wines from South Africa, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain, supplying both private clients and trade customers, including restaurants, wine shops, hotels, and wine bars.
What You’ll Do
- Drive sales growth and expand our customer base within the Johannesburg market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private clients and trade accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold-calling.
- Organise and host wine tastings and client events.
- Work closely with management and our CRM system to optimise sales performance.
- Manage order processing, invoicing, and weekly sales reporting.
- Deliver excellent customer service and professional wine recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for wine and the wine industry.
- Minimum 2+ years’ sales experience within the wine industry, with a proven track record.
- Strong wine knowledge – WSET Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, professional, and self-motivated.
- A proactive, energetic, and results-driven attitude.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Own reliable vehicle preferred.
- Functioning smartphone.
