ABOUT THE ROLE:
The sales consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and brand partners. They will therefore be the driving force behind meeting sales targets by providing current clients with exceptional service, keeping up with market trends and competition, and developing creative management strategies for both. Each salesperson will also identify potential clients, generate leads, and convert those leads
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve volume objectives within the assigned area.
- Develop and maintain a structured call cycle to maximise customer engagement.
- Identify, secure, and grow new listings on wine lists through strong commercial judgement and negotiation.
- Execute promotions and listing drives to support volume growth and brand presence.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers.
- Conduct structured trade visits with winemakers and brand marketing representatives.
- Deliver regular wine service training to customers and their staff.
- Brand Activation & Market Insights
- Plan and execute promotions and activations at selected stores.
- Participate in special events to enhance brand visibility.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity, emerging trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Promote a wine culture that aligns with Vinimark’s values.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the liquor industry, specifically in an on-trade sales environment (restaurants, hotels, bars).
- Experience in customer relationship management and building long-term partnerships.
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Ability to confidently present and promote brands in trade visits and events.
- Knowledge of wine and brand management is highly desirable.
- Adaptable to changing market conditions and business environments.
