We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our client’s culinary team at a renown Steakhouse Restaurant and Butchery in Stellenbosch.
 
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong culinary and operational skillset, ability to lead and manage a brigade effectively, quality driven, a leader, stable track record and able to perform under pressure. A formal culinary education, own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence is essential. Candidates to reside in the local vicinity of Stellenbosch.
 
Experience / Skill / Qualification:
 
• Formal Culinary Qualification
• Fully bilingual – English and Afrikaans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on kitchen management approach
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong admin ability (stock take, rosters, orders, to mention a few)
• A creative and innovative thinker, willing and able to inspire teams
• A vibrant and responsible approach with a cheerful and service-oriented outlook
 
REMUNERATION: Competitive Basic - DOE
