Breede River Valley Bottling (BBK) specializes in the bottling and packaging of wine and other beverages and currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Line Manager, to form part of its dynamic Production team.
Reporting to the Bottling & Packaging Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Ensuring that daily production targets and -efficiencies are met by allocating resources aligned to the production programme – e.g. people, machines and dry goods.
- Outlining instructions to the Team and monitoring that tasks are executed as per the job card.
- Accurate record-keeping and ensuring that all documentation on the line has been completed according to standard operating procedures.
- Carrying out work processes in such a way as to ensure that the food safety, quality, authenticity and integrity of the product is maintained at all times.
- Ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment by conducting ongoing inspections and reporting any non-conformances to maintenance department.
- Monitoring operators and machines proactively to reduce waste
Successful candidates need to align to the following requirements:
- Grade 12
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Basic Maintenance Knowledge
- Good numerical acumen
- Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and OHSA requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Attention to detail and good administrative skills
- Agility and ability to prioritize effectively
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Willingness to work overtime
