Vino Pronto in Gardens, Cape Town needs enthusiastic and reliable folks with a love of good wine and good people.

This is a part-time position:
We're an independent wine boutique with an emphasis on independent wine-makers and natural wines. Customer service is a priority!
Approximate hours are 5pm to 8pm on certain weekdays, Saturdays 10am to 5pm, public holidays 10am to 3pm.
A few shifts per week and 2 or 3 Saturdays per month.
Requirements:
* reliable transport - able to get home safely after 8pm: ask yourself if your transport cost is worth a 3-hour shift
* computer literate - word, excel and outlook
* fluent in English - written and spoken - able to deal with customer queries efficiently and in a friendly manner
* well-spoken and presentable; able to describe wines to the customer
* self-motivated, reliable and honest
* methodical, with attention to detail and a focus on customer service
* contactable references - company telephone numbers, not cell phone numbers
* some wine knowledge will be a big plus
* no persons under the age of 18

Duties include, but are not limited to:
* checking deliveries and unpacking stock
* cleaning the shop and keeping it neat and tidy
* operating point of sale and processing customer sales accurately
* packing customer / website orders
* accurate end of shift cash-up
* tasting and assessing wine and keeping notes; convey this to the customer
* handling in-person, online and telephonic customer queries efficiently and accurately
