Bartinney Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Hospitality Manager to lead and oversee our hospitality operations, including guest accommodation, events, wine tourism experiences, and visitor services.
This is a senior management position requiring a hands-on leader with exceptional people skills, strong operational experience, and a proven track record within the hospitality, wine, and events industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the estate’s hospitality offerings, including accommodation, wine experiences, and events.
- Lead, train, and manage hospitality teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Ensure the highest standards of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.
- Manage guest relations and effectively resolve customer concerns and feedback.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of events, accommodation bookings, and hospitality services.
- Monitor operational budgets, stock control, procurement, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
- Drive revenue opportunities and identify ways to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain accurate reporting and operational administration.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience within the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience within the wine tourism, events, and accommodation sectors.
- Experience managing multiple hospitality departments simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of luxury guest experiences and service delivery.

- Experience working with Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of reservation and booking platforms.
- Ability to analyse reports and operational data.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and after-hours when required.
- Fluent in English (Additional languages advantageous).
- South African citizenship or valid work permit.
