Our client, an award-winning restaurant situated on an upmarket estate in the Stellenbosch area, is seeking to appoint an experienced Head Chef to join their dynamic team.

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate culinary professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Head Chef position. The ideal candidate will be up to date with international culinary trends and have a strong background in delivering exceptional upmarket dining experiences. They should be passionate about food and cooking, with proven experience in managing kitchen operations within a high-end environment.

The successful candidate will be quality driven, demonstrate strong leadership skills, remain composed under pressure, and have a genuine commitment to staff training and development.

The key responsibility of this role will be to oversee and manage the full kitchen operation of this high-end restaurant, including:

• Menu engineering

• Cost control

• Waste management

• Recipe development and standardisation

• Inventory control

• Staff management and development

Applicants currently residing in the Winelands region will receive preference.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ Head Chef experience in an upmarket hospitality environment

• Formal culinary qualification

• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence
