Stark-Condé Wines is an organically certified estate situated in the picturesque Jonkershoek Valley. We specialise in crafting premium, hand-sorted, and organically grown estate wines—most notably our award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon. Our cellar practices remain highly traditional, focusing on minimal intervention.
We invite passionate winemaking students and graduates to step into our cellar and gain invaluable, hands-on experience during the upcoming harvest season.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
As a Harvest Intern, you will work closely with our winemaking team to experience the entire process from grape intake to fermentation.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Grape Intake & Processing: Operating the destemmer, sorting table, and press.
- Fermentation Monitoring: Performing regular sugar and temperature brix tracking.
- Cellar Hygiene: Undertaking thorough cleaning and sanitisation of tanks, barrels, and equipment.
- Fermentation Management: Handling daily manual punchdowns and pump-overs.
- Additions & Transfers: Executing yeast inoculations, nutritional adjustments, and racking juice or wine.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Currently studying towards or holding a degree/diploma in Viticulture and Oenology, Wine Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Attributes: Motivated, reliable self-starter with a strong attention to detail and a love for premium craft winemaking.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of handling long, physically demanding hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Logistics: Must have your own reliable transport to the farm in the Jonkershoek Valley.
