Floor Supervisor position @ The Cellar Door

Jordan Wine Estate is looking for a Floor Manager for our casual eatery and wine tasting facility, The Cellar Door.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated individual with a passion for hospitality, wine and guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing service on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and supporting the day-to-day operations of The Cellar Door.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing daily floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Leading and supporting the front-of-house team during service
• Ensuring guests receive a memorable and enjoyable experience at all times
• Hosting wine tastings and assisting guests with wine, food and estate information
• Monitoring service standards and addressing guest feedback or complaints in a professional manner
• Assisting with staff supervision, shift coordination and on-the-job training
• Supporting stock control, cash-up procedures and general administration as required
• Assisting with cellar tours, vineyard tours, picnics, functions and special events
• Assisting with promotional activities and special offerings on the Estate
• Supporting wine sales and customer orders

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the wine, hospitality or restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory or management role
• Wine qualification advantageous (WSET or Cape Wine Academy)
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
• Good computer literacy (MS Office and POS systems)
• Organized, positive and able to work well under pressure
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Reliable transport required
