Neethlingshof Winery, located on the picturesque Polkadraai Road in Stellenbosch, is offering a hands-on Harvest Internship for the 2027 vintage (January – March).
We are looking for passionate, motivated individuals eager to learn and gain experience in a professional winemaking environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team working with premium fruit and a wide range of wine styles on one of the Cape’s most historic estates.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be willing to work long hours during harvest
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Be a team player with good communication skills
- Demonstrate initiative and responsibility
- Pay attention to detail
- Previous harvest or cellar experience is an advantage, but not essential
Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving grapes and managing the crush pad
- Fermentation monitoring and cellar operations (pump overs, punch downs, additions)
- Juice/wine transfers and barrel work
- Basic lab work and analysis
- Maintaining excellent cellar hygiene
