Cavalli Estate is seeking a strategic, and guest-focused Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager.

This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive Wine Club growth, increase direct wine sales, enhance guest loyalty, and strengthen the Cavalli brand experience. Working closely with the existing Tasting Room Team, this position will provide strategic oversight of the tasting room operation while focusing on business performance, customer engagement, and long-term revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, experience in luxury hospitality or premium wine environments, and a proven track record in Wine Club management, CRM systems, and direct-to-consumer sales strategies, with hands-on experience in Commerce7.

 Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for Cavalli's direct-to-consumer sales channel, including the Tasting Room and Wine Club.
  • Identify opportunities to increase wine sales, customer acquisition, member retention, and lifetime customer value.
  • Analyse market trends, visitor behaviour, and consumer insights to drive business growth and improve performance.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance reports, budgets, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and the guest experience.

Wine Club Strategy & Management

  • Lead the overall growth, performance, and profitability of the Cavalli Wine Club.
  • Develop and execute member acquisition, engagement, retention, and reactivation strategies.
  • Create compelling member experiences, exclusive events, and loyalty initiatives that strengthen brand affinity.
  • Utilise Commerce7 and CRM data to segment audiences, personalise communication, and optimise member engagement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including membership growth, retention rates, conversion rates, and member spend.

Guest Experience & Brand Excellence

  • Ensure the Cavalli guest journey consistently reflects the estate's luxury positioning and brand values.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the tasting room experience.
  • Develop service standards, training initiatives, and guest engagement programmes that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee VIP guest experiences, trade visits, media engagements, and key stakeholder interactions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support the tasting room department and hospitality team to achieve business objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to strengthen wine knowledge, sales effectiveness, and customer engagement skills.
  • Support succession planning and talent development within the department.

Sales, Marketing & Collaboration

  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing department to develop targeted campaigns that drive visitation, Wine Club membership, and direct wine sales.
  • Collaborate on digital marketing initiatives, member communications, seasonal promotions, and customer retention programmes.
  • Support the planning and execution of Wine Club events, launches, activations, and hospitality experiences.
  • Ensure alignment between brand, sales, hospitality, and customer engagement objectives.

Systems, Reporting & Compliance

  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, customer behaviour, inventory movement, and operational metrics.
  • Oversee stock management, merchandising standards, and reporting processes relating to direct sales channels.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–7 years' management experience within the wine, hospitality, luxury tourism, or direct-to-consumer sectors.
  • Proven success in developing and growing Wine Club programmes and direct-to-consumer sales channels.
  • Advanced experience with Commerce7, CRM systems, and customer engagement platforms.
  • Wine qualification essential (WSET Level 2 minimum; Level 3 advantageous).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Professional, polished, and confident when interacting with high-net-worth guests, trade partners, and stakeholders.
  • Passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering world-class guest experiences.
  • Flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays, and special events when required.
