A well-established farm located 25km outside Montagu is seeking an experienced, hands-on Farm Foreman. This is a full-time, live-in position requiring a dedicated leader to oversee daily operations, staff, and production.

Minimum Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Farm Foreman.
- Specialisation: Proven experience with orchard stone fruit (Non-negotiable).
- Licence: Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Health: Physically fit, healthy, and sober habits (Drug and alcohol-free).
Core Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations & Crop Management
- Manage daily farm operations, crop production, and stone fruit orchards.
- Implement pest, disease prevention, and treatment programmes.
- Administer orchard spraying, irrigation, and fertilisation schedules.
- Execute pruning, tree development, thinning, harvesting, and quality control.
- Oversee livestock health, welfare, and general management.
2. Staff Leadership & Safety
- Supervise, train, and educate farm labourers to maximise productivity.
- Enforce health, safety, and legislative regulations across all activities.
- Manage staff rosters, effectively utilise labour, and submit accurate timesheets.
3. Equipment & Maintenance
- Safely operate and set up tractors, sprayers, mowers, and power tools.
- Oversee equipment use, routine servicing, and minor irrigation repairs.
- Ensure team compliance with equipment manufacturer specifications to minimise wear.
4. Administration & Management Support
- Maintain accurate record-keeping, inventory logs, and stock-taking.
- Compile and submit daily operational reports to management.
- Assist the Farm Manager with budgeting and financial control.
- Act as relief manager for day-to-day operations in the Production Manager's absence.
Technical & Personal Skills
- Tech Skills: Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Leadership: Strong, fair communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Autonomy: Reliable, proactive problem-solver capable of working unsupervised.
- Agronomy: Ability to identify and monitor tree and soil health.
