I have just arrived back from the Congo on a fixed term contract as an Executive Head Chef / Kitchen Trainer, and I am seeking a new role.
My entire working career has been oriented around the hospitality service industry, during which I have successfully carried out various roles, ranging from Executive Chef to Senior Management Positions.
These roles involve high levels of interaction with guests as well as staff.
I have extensive knowledge of startup projects within the hospitality service industry. These included: overseeing the build of the family’s successful B&B from scratch. Opening two hospitality businesses of my own, including helping to open an upmarket cocktail/wine/cigar food lounge in Johannesburg.
This included menu design/costing and the training and hiring of staff in BOH and FOH. Procurement and set-up of kitchen hardware in order to create fluidity in service. Securing solid relationships with vendors.
I pride myself on the training and empowerment of staff, having brought scullers into chef and management positions.
My personal conviction is to ensure that every member of the team feels motivated that they are part of creating something special and ultimately something to be extremely proud of. Thus establishing a positive and productive work environment.

I pride myself on guest satisfaction, and I have often extinguished mishaps in a quick and efficient manner, having resolved the issue and thus ensuring service recovery.
I have managed high-end B&Bs and Lodges and marketed my own and other businesses through social media.
I am comfortable with online booking systems as well as various POS systems.
I have exceptional leadership skills in all departments. I am able to multitask with ease, and I believe that with my friendly professional demeanour and organizational skills, I will be the perfect fit for any position pertaining to my skill set.
I am in possession of a valid South African passport and a code EC driver’s license.
