Paserene is looking for a passionate, experienced, and motivated Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join our hospitality team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting the day-to-day management of our tasting room.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the tasting room team, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the high standards synonymous with the Paserene brand.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Conduct professional, engaging, and memorable wine tastings for local and international guests.
- Deliver exceptional customer service that reflects the Paserene brand and values.
- Build relationships with guests and confidently recommend wines to maximise sales.
- Handle VIP visits, private tastings, and hosted experiences with professionalism.
Team Leadership
- Support the Tasting Room Manager in the daily management of the tasting room.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the tasting room team to deliver consistently excellent service.
- Assist with staff training and maintaining high hospitality standards.
- Ensure smooth daily operations and resolve guest concerns effectively.
Administration & Operations
- Complete daily cash-ups and reconcile point-of-sale transactions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Plan and manage staff rosters.
- Monitor and order tasting room stock and consumables.
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
- Assist with bookings, guest enquiries, and administrative duties.
- Ensure the tasting room remains immaculate and operates efficiently at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a wine tasting room or luxury hospitality environment.
- Proven experience presenting wine tastings confidently and professionally.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
- A passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Own reliable transport is essential.
- Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and during peak tourism periods.
