We are seeking a passionate and experienced Winemaker to join our boutique wine farm in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the winemaking process, from grape intake through fermentation, maturation, blending, bottling, and quality control, while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all stages of the winemaking process.
- Monitor wine quality and ensure consistency across vintages.
- Work closely with the vineyard team to optimize grape quality.
- Oversee cellar operations, hygiene, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate production records and inventory.
- Contribute to new wine development and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Viticulture and Oenology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a winemaker, preferably in a premium or boutique winery.
- Strong knowledge of cellar operations and quality assurance.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Passion for producing exceptional wines.
