Support the Front of house activities by ensuring that the cleanliness in all areas is consistently maintained. Assist in exceeding overall guest experience by maintaining the brand home in a way that delivers service excellence and maintains world-class hospitality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain all general housekeeping of the Brand home and its operations.
  • Prepare all public spaces before guests arrive.
  • Preparing of outside courtyard area before guests arrive, i.e. opening of parasols.
  • Prepare for all tea/coffee/meal services before and throughout conferences, meetings, or special events.
  • Doing all preparations for tea/coffee/meal service before and throughout conferences/meetings/special events.
  • Assisting during tea/coffee/meal service.
  • Clearing away of the tea/coffee/meal service and the resulting cleaning.
  • Preparing for all activities hosted throughout the tasting room (Cocktails/Tours/Tastings/Food options).
  • Cleaning of tasting room and conference facilities throughout the day.
  • Clean bar area and ensure that it is stocked with items needed for service.
  • Prepare food or food related items for service.
  • Report any maintenance, cleaning or safety related issues observed.
  • Cleaning restroom and kitchens regularly.
  • Ensure that all retail areas are clean.
  • Cleaning the floors according to the prescribed guidelines.
  • Polishing furniture and décor items.
  • Vacuum the fixed and loose carpets.
  • Follow Organization's policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be able to speak English and Afrikaans.
  • Have a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
  • Proven ability to read and write.
  • Relevant courses or certificates in cleanliness and hygiene management.
  • Proven experience as a general worker in a hospitality environment.
  • Front of house or service experience.
  • Food and beverage preparation experience.
  • Act proactively.
  • Self-leading with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work independently and cope under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize daily duties.
  • Reliable own transport.
  • Fit and healthy as manual work is required.
  • Working hours as is required in the hospitality industry, including weekends and public holidays, as required by a dynamic environment and events-led operation.
