Morgenster Estate is a family-owned estate in Somerset West. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking interns to join our cellar team for the 2027 vintage.
Harvest Period: January – April 2027 (Dates TBC)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with grape intake and processing.
- Manage fermentations, including pump-overs and punch-downs.
- Barrel work.
- Clean and sanitise tanks, barrels, and cellar equipment.
- Wine transfers, racking, and general cellar operations.
- Support the cellar team with all harvest-related activities.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in wine and winemaking.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work long flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of strenuous work.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
- Previous cellar experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Own transport and accommodation.
- Legal right to work in South Africa.
