The 2027 harvest is calling.

The Cederberg Winemaking Team is looking for passionate, hardworking harvest interns to join us in the Cederberg Mountains for the 2027 vintage.

This is more than a harvest job. It's an opportunity to spend a full season making wine from vineyard to bottle, working alongside an experienced team, taking on real responsibility, and building the practical skills that will shape your career.

You'll Gain Experience In

From vineyard to bottle, you'll be involved in every stage of production, including:

  • Grape sampling
  • Crushpad operations
  • Pressing
  • General cellar hygiene
  • Juice and wine analysis
  • Juice and wine additions
  • Yeast inoculations
  • Racking
  • Filtration
  • Stabilisation
  • Barrel work
  • Bottling and labelling
  • Administrative record keeping (IPW, BRC, HACCP & SAWIS)
  • Occasional tasting room shifts (including commission on sales)

No two days are the same, and every day offers an opportunity to learn.

Who We're Looking For

We're after people who are enthusiastic, curious, and ready to work hard.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology
  • Previous cellar experience will be advantageous
  • Fluent in English and/or Afrikaans
  • Access to reliable transport to and from the Cederberg (accommodation is within walking distance of the cellar)
  • Willingness to work long hours during harvest when required

Internship Dates

Start: January 2027

Completion: December 2027

Potential International Harvest: August – October 2027 (subject to harvest availability)
