This unique table began life as an old timber tabletop and a collection of red wine barrel staves. The original top was carefully machined and re-bonded, while the wine-soaked barrel staves were sanded back to reveal fresh timber beneath years of character and history.
Because the curved staves offered no straight reference lines, custom jigs were designed and built to create perfectly flat surfaces and achieve accurate joinery. The restoration was completed with over 15 kg of casting resin applied in 17 separate pours, resulting in a striking handcrafted piece.
The result: a truly one-of-a-kind Red Wine Barrel Table, blending craftsmanship, recycled materials, and timeless character.
