Our company, based in stellenbosch, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician with experience in wine equipment, electrical, pneumatical and facility maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and carrying out timely repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, and maintain safe, efficient operations.
DESCRIPTION POSITION: Maintenance technician
LOCATION: Stellenbosch
TYPE: Permanent, 3 month probation.
SALARY: Market related, based on experience. State expected salary on application.
Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Sound knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and wine equipment mechanics systems (wine pumps – centrifugal, piston, pressure release valves, actuators, etc…)
- Good communication skills to liaise with our workshop manager and machine operators.
- Welding experience (Both steel and stainless steel)
- Good planning and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns..
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic system faults.
- Install, service, maintain, and align plant machinery and production equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative checks to ensure reliable equipment performance.
Minimum requirements:
- Valid SA ID and driver’s license with own reliable
- Experience in the wine industry will be advantageous
