Our client, one of the Cape Winelands' most beautiful lifestyle destinations, is seeking to appoint an experienced Stock Controller to join their team based in Paarl, Western Cape.

Set on a breathtaking farm and renowned for exceptional wines, memorable dining experiences and genuine hospitality, this is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who understands that exceptional guest experiences begin behind the scenes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete stock control function, ensuring accurate inventory management and maintaining disciplined stock control processes across the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include (but not be limited to): *Managing the stock control process from ordering through to final reconciliation *Receiving, checking and verifying stock delivered by suppliers *Monitoring stock movements and maintaining accurate inventory records *Conducting regular stock takes and investigating stock variances *Identifying opportunities to reduce wastage and improve stock accuracy *Preparing stock reports to support management decision-making *Liaising with suppliers and operational teams to ensure stock availability *Maintaining accurate stock control procedures and ensuring compliance with company processes.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

• Proven experience as a Stock Controller within the hospitality industry (essential);

• Sound knowledge of the complete stock management process, including purchasing, receiving, stock takes and reconciliations;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

• Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail;

• Ability to work independently while building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams;

• Good computer literacy with experience using inventory management systems;

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
