My client, an iconic hospitality establishment in Somerset Westis seeking to employ an experienced and highly organised HR Administrator. This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys working as part of a dynamic team, and is passionate about providing professional HR administrative support.

Purpose of the Role:
To provide efficient and accurate administrative support across all areas of the Human Resources department, ensuring HR processes are administered in accordance with company policies, labour legislation, and best practice, while contributing to a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files and HR records
  • Assisting Heads of Department with the recruitment process, including arranging interviews and preparing onboarding documentation
  • Preparing payroll information and ensuring all supporting documentation is submitted accurately and within required deadlines
  • Administering and monitoring the electronic time and attendance system
  • Assisting with the administration and reporting of the Employment Equity programme
  • Preparing employment contracts and other HR-related documentation
  • Coordinating the onboarding and induction process for new employees
  • Maintaining HR databases and employee information
  • Providing day-to-day HR administrative support to management and employees
  • Assisting with HR reporting, audits, compliance documentation and general departmental administration
  • Performing additional HR administrative duties as required

Criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant Human Resources qualification is essential
  • Minimum 2-3 years' HR Administration experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Previous experience assisting with recruitment, payroll preparation and time and attendance systems
  • Sound knowledge of Employment Equity administration and South African labour legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and planning skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist where required
  • Own reliable transport and residence in or near Somerset West
