Tulbagh 
Rijk’s Wine Estate, situated in Tulbagh, South Africa, are currently looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our cellar team for the 2027 harvest season.
At Rijk’s we focus on producing good quality wines year after year. Therefore, our vineyard team harvests during the night and the grapes are processed in the early morning whilst their still nice and cool. We harvest +-200 tons of which 60% is Pinotage and 40% is Chenin Blanc.
Harvest period: January to mid March
What We're Looking For
- Fun and enthusiastic individuals
- A genuine interest in wine and wine production
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends during harvest
- Willing and able to lift heavy equipment
- Previous harvest or cellar experience is advantageous but not essential
Harvest Responsibilities
- Monitoring fermentations
- Pump-overs and punch-downs
- Additions and cellar operations
- Barrel work
- Racking & Movements
- Press management
- Crush pad management
- Grape sampling
- Forklift driving
- General cellar hygiene and sanitation
- ALOT of cleaning
