Rustenberg Wines is looking for a Wine Tasting Ambassador to join our Cellar Door team for the upcoming high season.
As one of Stellenbosch’s historic wine estates, Rustenberg offers a unique opportunity to become part of a story that spans generations. You’ll be the face of the estate, welcoming visitors, sharing the stories behind our wines and heritage, and creating warm, knowledgeable and memorable tasting experiences.
What you’ll do
Welcome and engage with guests, creating an exceptional cellar door experience
- Conduct wine tastings and confidently share knowledge of our wines and estate
- Promote and sell Rustenberg wines
- Assist with stock control, merchandising and other cellar door duties
- Maintain high standards of presentation, service and attention to detail
- Represent the Rustenberg brand with enthusiasm, professionalism and warmth
What we’re looking for
Matric and a post-matric qualification, preferably in wine, hospitality, tourism or marketing
- At least 1 year’s experience in a cellar door or wine industry environment
- A genuine passion for wine and a desire to learn
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans; additional languages are an advantage
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Well-presented, confident and personable
- Strong attention to detail and procedures
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport – ESSENTIAL
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
- Must be of legal drinking age
Contract: 1 October 2026 – 30 April 2027
Remuneration: R73.00 per hour
