Tasting Room Ambassador - Paarl

ProStaffSelect are seeking a dynamic, highly organised, enthusiastic and professional TASTING ROOM AMBASSADOR to join the hospitality team at this exclusive boutique winery in Paarl.

This is a guest-facing role for someone who is passionate about wine, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences. The successful candidate will represent the estate and its wines to local and international visitors while ensuring a consistently high standard of service.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 – 3 years’ experience in a wine farm, tasting room, restaurant, luxury hospitality, or guest-facing environment
• Strong knowledge and genuine interest in South African wine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and confident, engaging personality
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Comfortable working weekends and public holidays
• WSET, Cape Wine Academy, or other wine qualification needed
• Additional languages are advantageous

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct engaging and informative wine tastings for local and international guests
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and communicate the estate's story and wines confidently
• Deliver exceptional, personalised hospitality throughout the guest experience
• Assist with wine sales and contribute towards tasting-room revenue targets
• Maintain a polished and welcoming tasting-room environment that is always clean and organised
• Process sales and payments accurately
• Assist with stock controls and general tasting-room administration
• Build positive relationships with guests and encourage repeat visits
• Work closely with other hospitality staff, wine teams and restaurant personnel on the estate

R12 000 + own tips + 2.5% commission on own sales
