Set among the windswept vineyards of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Hasher Family Wines is a small, family-owned estate where a deep connection to place, people and the craft of wine sits at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a temporary Assistant Winemaker to join our team and become part of the family for the 2027 harvest season (November 2026 - April 2027).
This role is ideal for a passionate individual who enjoys both the practical and technical aspects of winemaking and thrives in a fast-paced cellar environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Winemaker to support all cellar operations while maintaining high quality and food safety standards.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• 3–5 years' production cellar experience;
• Sound knowledge of cellar operations and winemaking processes;
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Systems & certifications, including WineMS, IPW and SAWIS;
• Drivers license & Forklift license will be beneficial
