We are looking for a reliable, motivated and well-presented Shop Assistant to join our team at our wine shop in Joostenberg Vlakte.
If you enjoy working with people, have an interest in wine and spirits, and are looking for a varied role where every day is different, we’d love to hear from you!
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Processing basic sales and assisting customers with their purchases
• Receiving, checking and putting away deliveries
• Stock taking and maintaining accurate stock levels
• Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented
• Basic administration and general shop duties
• Occasional collections and deliveries
• Working independently as well as being part of a small team
What we’re looking for:
• Friendly, confident and professional personality
• Reliable, honest and hardworking
• Good communication and customer-service skills (Afrikaans & English)
• Well organised and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
• Interest in wine, spirits and the liquor industry
• Previous retail, liquor or customer-service experience will be an advantage
• Wine knowledge is an advantage, but training will be provided to the right candidate
• Valid driver’s licence required for occasional collections and deliveries
• Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays as required
