Join the front-of-house team for the upcoming season at Constantia Glen, one of the Cape's busiest wine tasting destinations. We aim to give our guests excellent service and a professional wine experience - and we need skilled waiters / wine stewards to make it happen.
The Role
As a Tasting Room Waiter, you'll own the full guest experience for your section — table service, food service, wine service and presenting wine tastings. You'll be the face of the guest's visit: attentive, knowledgeable, and comfortable running a busy section during peak service.
What You'll Do
- Manage all table service for your assigned section — seating, orders, food service, and general guest care
- Guide guests through wine tastings, sharing knowledge of the wines and estate
- Handle bottle and glass wine orders for tables, as well as promoting Constantia Glen’s wines, and selling of wines.
- Set up and clean your section before opening — tables, glassware, and stock ready for service
- Keep your section clean and presentable throughout the shift
- Close down and clean your section at the end of the day — clearing, resetting, and restocking for the next shift
What We're Looking For
- Own transport essential
- Previous experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry essential
- Wine knowledge essential
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems essential
- Strong communication skills
- Available to work 5 shifts a week, including public holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Full availability required from 14 December 2026 to 16 January 2027, except for Christmas Day and New Years Day.
- Well presented, and able to represent and act as an ambassador for Constantia Glen
- A genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience
