Butler – Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and highly professional Butler for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek.

Package: R13 000 – R15 000 per month DOE (live-out, permanent)

The Role:

The Butler will be responsible for delivering discreet, five-star service to estate guests and private residents, overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the main residence and ensuring every guest experience is impeccable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional, anticipatory butler service to all guests and residents
• Oversee and coordinate housekeeping, kitchen and service staff on shift
• Manage the arrival, welcome and departure of guests to the highest standard
• Prepare and serve beverages, canapés and light meals as required
• Maintain the presentation of all guest areas, wine cellar and dining spaces
• Oversee table setting, food and beverage service and formal dining
• Assist with wine service, pairings and estate wine presentations
• Manage guest requests, reservations and special arrangements
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
• Ensure impeccable standards of grooming, uniform and etiquette

Requirements:

• Formal hospitality qualification (Butler School / Silver Service certification advantageous)
• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a 5-star lodge, hotel or private estate environment
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including South African wines
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Valid driver's licence and own transport
• Clear criminal record and contactable references
• South African citizen or valid work permit
