Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for fine dining service to take full responsibility for the smooth running of a high-end restaurant operation within a prestigious estate environment.
Package
- Salary: R18 000 – R20 000 per month DOE

The Role
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high service standards and efficient day-to-day management. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, guest-focused and capable of leading a motivated front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure seamless service delivery
- Lead, train and motivate front-of-house staff
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations, seating plans and guest flow
- Handle guest queries, feedback and complaints professionally
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor stock levels, ordering and cost control
- Assist with menu planning input and coordination with kitchen teams
- Conduct staff scheduling, training and performance management
- Drive a strong guest-centric and service-driven culture
- Ensure accurate cash-ups, reporting and administrative duties
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor within a luxury or fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent guest relations and communication abilities
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
