This ultra-modern Wine Tasting Lounge and upmarket Restaurant situated in Stellenbosch offers a selection of some of the finest award-winning wines paired with beautifully crafted fine dining meals.
ProStaffSelect are in search of a knowledgeable and highly passionate WINE & FOOD SPECIALIST to take on the role as RESTAURANT MANAGER to oversee and manage daily operations, control and drive service standards and motivate a culture of excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- WSET, Cape Wine Academy or equivalent Wine Qualification
- Hospitality or Business Management qualifications most beneficial
- Highly motivated candidate with at least 3-5 years SIGNATURE Restaurant Management experience
- Advanced food & beverage knowledge with strong technical skills in WINES, Artisan COFFEE and exceptional service standards
- Highly proficient in Point of Sale and Back of House software as well as Excel, Word & Office
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills in Afrikaans & English
- Proven abilities in planning, organising, motivating and directing staff
- Meticulous attention to detail with exceptional stock control and management skills
- Excellent people skills, resourceful thinker & innovative worker
- Highly Presentable candidate with strong personality, confidence and commanding presence
- Preference given to candidates already living within the Stellenbosch & surrounding Winelands
KEY PRIORITIES:
- Work with daily bookings, invoices, emails and correspondence
- Staff scheduling and meetings to discuss menu highlights, set up requirements and service standards
- Procurement of goods & equipment as well as sourcing, recruitment & training of staff
- Financial budgets and profitability
- Staffing and operating costs
- Guest overall experience and professional yet relaxed restaurant atmosphere
- Quality and level of service
- Complete cohesion between front of house and back of house operations
