Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Pool Technician to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with strong technical skills and experience maintaining swimming pools and related equipment.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and service swimming pools to ensure they remain clean, safe and in excellent condition.

• Monitor and maintain pool filtration, pumps, chlorination and other related equipment.

• Conduct regular water testing and ensure appropriate chemical levels are maintained.

• Identify and troubleshoot equipment faults and arrange or carry out necessary repairs.

• Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance and chemical usage.

• Ensure all pool areas and surrounding facilities meet the required cleanliness and safety standards.

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to minimise equipment breakdowns.

• Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental procedures.

• Assist with general maintenance duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a pool maintenance or technical role, preferably within a hotel, lodge or luxury hospitality environment.

• Good knowledge of pool pumps, filtration systems and water treatment.

• Strong practical and troubleshooting skills.

• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.

• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards.

• Ability to work flexible hours when required.

• A valid driver's licence would be advantageous.
