Vacancy: Warehouse Manager - Bottling Plant

Breede River Valley Bottling (BBK) specializes in the bottling and packaging of wine and other beverages and currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Warehouse Manager, to form part of its dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and organization of bottled wine, its receipt, recordkeeping and removal which includes the following duties:

• Managing the warehouse staff by maintaining good discipline and training staff to ensure optimal team performance.
• Maintain compliance with quality procedures, and ensuring the accurate loading of shipping containers aligned to customer specifications.
• Handling of customer complaints (internal as well as external).
• Responsible for all stock management processes within the warehouse.
• Implementation of continuous cost-saving and improvement initiatives.
• Timely reporting as agreed and as determined by procedures.
• Ensuring compliance to Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Successful candidates need to align to the following requirements:

• Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in people management
• Excellent numerical acumen
• Good knowledge of cost structures and cost drivers
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and OHSA requirements
• Attention to detail, excellent administration skills and ability to manage stock processes
• Experience in client relationship management
• Agility and ability to prioritize effectively
• System savvy
